In response to Stephan Wagner’s question about setting up workplace charging in leased office space - a good start is to have the tenants talk to the building owner about why they would like to implement a program. It can be leveraged when signing a lease or re-upping a lease.

Many EV chargers have the same abilities that Kevin mentioned about their chargers.

Why not do both EVSEs and plugs, and he plugs could be smart plugs that can monitor power use and require phone action to turn on the plug?

The Hartford has done energy conservation mods to their buildings for at least 30 years or more. I worked on some of them.

I wonder if it would be advantageous to implement timing protocols of EVSE use right at the beginning as part of encouraging EV adoption. Also, how do you manage the competition for EVSE usage buy EV Plug-in Hybrids as well as all electric vehicles?

Lutron makes a smart circuit breaker panel with control via internet. Why not install that as a sub-panel to feed all the EV circuits with simple 120 or 240 volt plugs?
