What is the avg cost of a charging station? Do any companies like Tesla or Eversource subsidize installs over the 30%?
Gene DeJoannis
01:12:35
Does the state have any plans to install low power outlets (1.9 kW) at commuter parking lots? My guess is that EV owners are also bus commuters
Kathleen Schomaker
01:14:27
Are EV corridors competing with the other alternate fuel sources for corridor designation?
Kathleen Schomaker
01:15:20
is it really true that all other alternate fuel vehicles are on track to displace ICE vehicles in the same numbers as EV's?
Daphne Dixon
01:15:53
Hi Kathleen, the fuels do not compete for alt fuel designation.
Eunice Mahler
01:16:18

Daphne Dixon
01:19:59
Merritt Parkway in Southwestern CT is not designated yet.
Kelsey McCormack
01:20:39
The Route 7 corridor would be nominated to be EV Corridor Ready from Norwalk to New Milford and EV Corridor Pending from New Milford to the MA border.
Daphne Dixon
01:20:42
Yes Jean! The entire length of Route 7!
Holly Parker
01:21:00
Are any communities in CT providing curbside charging in a downtown area? If so, I'd like to talk to them. Thanks!
Gene DeJoannis
01:21:30
What about interstate EV signs that indicate amenities (gas) at each exit? That should not cause sign clutter.

reservations by cueing on charging stations?
Andrea McCarthy (she/her)
01:25:33
In response to the question about average costs for EV chargers - in the Overview materials sent out include the following publications - Costs Associated with Non-Residential Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment - https://afdc.energy.gov/files/u/publication/evse_cost_report_2015.pdf and Reducing EV Charging Infrastructure Costs - https://rmi.org/insight/reducing-ev-charging-infrastructure-costs/
Andrea McCarthy (she/her)
01:27:40
Costs for chargers vary quite a bit based on several factors and these resources will help you figure out how to best choose locations.
Craig Peters
01:29:46
To locate charging stations you can go on EV CT site and AFDC site
Gene DeJoannis
01:31:24
Will PURA issue a V2G tariff for Med-Heavy duty EVs in Q1 or Q2 of 2021?
Holly Parker
01:35:02
As a follow up to my previous question, are any municipal fleets in CT using an innovative approach to booking/sharing their EV fleet?
Betty Standish
01:40:28
Sorry if this is an uneducated question, but can you hook up Solar Panels to the charging stations?
Jennifer Reilly
01:40:52
The state has explored putting EV chargers in commuter parking lots but there are right of way challenges that have been difficult to overcome.
Jean Speck
01:42:39
for Jennifer - How do I stay engaged regarding the EV corridor project?
Holly Parker
01:42:42
Thank you for great presentations today!
Katie Sullivam
01:43:54
Thank you this has been very helpful
Andrea McCarthy (she/her)
01:43:56
EV chargers can be connected to renewable energy generators such as solar. It requires planning to ensure the amount of electricity needed is available and that zoning ordinances allow for such projects.
